Venice, the arts and Europe in VXIIIe century.

Come and discover this exhibition with our speaker Mrs Sybille BELLAMY-BROWN.

Heiress to long centuries of domination over the Mediterranean, Venice of the eighteenth century lost its political and commercial power and influence. However, the artists' production remains at the forefront. A great energy animates the social life. Official festivals, opera, theater, sumptuous receptions, varied entertainment punctuate everyday life and astonish visiting foreigners. The exhibition evokes the last fires of the Republic before its fall in 1797, through works of various mediums: painting, sculpture, costume, objects of art, musical instrument, etc. In tribute to this vitality, musicians, dancers and actors will interact with art and the public.
