Maritime transport: the diesel engine and environmental challenges

Maritime traffic: the future of diesel?

The globalization of trade and the development of tourism have led to significant growth in maritime traffic.

The environmental impact of sea transport is often compared to that of land transport. But what is the reality? What is the state of the art? What are the technological developments in marine diesel engines?

Patrick Renaud, former President of MAN Diesel & Turbo France (formerly S.E.M.T. Pielstick), will talk about regulatory developments and the transformation of propulsion systems for large ships.

The conference will take place at the Hôtel des Ingénieurs Arts & Métiers, 9 bis avenue d'Iéna Paris 16ème (M° Iéna), adjacent to the Musée Guimet.

The conference will start at around 6:30pm, with cocktails at around 8pm.

Dinner is available around 8:30pm.
