The National Engineering Days from March 1st to March 14, 2021

You are all invited to be actors of the National Engineering Days from March 1st to 14th 2021!

Paris, December 1, 2020 - Engineers and Scientists of France (IESF) announces that the National Engineering Days (JNI) will take place from March 1 to 14, 2021 throughout France under the patronage of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic. Given the context of the health crisis, IESF is launching the 8th edition, which will be mainly digital so that all actors can express themselves during this period.

Once again this year, the JNI are organized in connection with the World Engineering Day (WED) announced by UNESCO and organized by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). On this occasion, IESF will organize on March 4 a major event completely digitalized, a unique opportunity to promote French engineers internationally.

The previous edition in March 2020 brought together nearly 10,000 participants (students, young graduates, professors, economic actors, political decision-makers and the general public) in all regions of France, both face-to-face and virtual, in compliance with health regulations.

Why NYI? To meet the following objectives:

- To promote and value our professions in the eyes of the general public and decision-makers, to arouse vocations and encourage employment ;

- To reinforce the feeling of belonging among engineers to a professional body engaged in the major transformations linked to digital and environmental transitions;

- To encourage engineers to commit, undertake and innovate in order to act for sustainable development.

Labels will open in December 2020: online as of January 2021.

The open agenda for the 2021 NYI will list all the events with the NYI label: conferences, symposiums, open days, "hackathons", competitions, trade shows, presentations of our professions to young people, etc.

Regardless of health concerns, the digitalization of events will make it possible to invite a wider public than for purely physical events. We invite all players with a link to the world of science and/or the world of engineering to mobilize from March 1 to 14 and to label their NID 2021 events.
